(Please, see a whole content anyway. This allocation is just my idea what should be requaried to whom.)

All files are compresed using PkZip 2.04g maximum compression standard. This method is dated back to 1993. Presently is commonly supported, so I do not expext any problems. There are a lot of free tools which can unpack these archives.

Technical note: all texts are transformed to MS-DOS style's end-of-line, i.e. carriage return and end-of-line are used together. This is an detail and all editors should correct this automatically. If paragraphs not appear, ARJ will help you - just pack the file and unpack.

Tutorials are provided together with pictures and their links are updated, so they can be viewed off-line. Links to other web-pages and downloads (from this site) are updated also, but it will be miracle if I do not forget expand some relative address.

Archived files will be updated weekly, appologize for this. I will try to repack files as soon as possible after some major changes.

Please note, that all copyrights and trademarks are collected in this archive (6 kBy). You should download it also. The most frequently updated document is Surfer's basic knowledge. Its single archive should be actual, but version on suites could not.

I have prepared also a special "Download All" page:
Spartian design without description but all my original content is linked there without any duplication of links. Just a few clicks are necessary when you know what are you looking for, or you do not mind when download also something extra: overall it is cca 6500 kBy.

Utilities

Please note, that some utilities has its own page with detailed description. Here are just short-infos and preview images.

URL Abscond - small toy - or utility - which scramble given URL (can be pasted through clipboard), or optionally only password part, at various level. Higher level arises more characters to mask. Characters are converted to their UTF-8 representation, which is perfectly readable by machines, but almost impossible to figure-out for most of population.

No install is necessary, just unpack it to some directory and run. After abscond URL, click copy it and paste into Address bar at your browser.

As you can check for yourself, this form is written to browser's history - someone knows you want to hide something, but not necessary will know what. Please note, that you will get an extremally long URLs which can result in various problems because of auto-truncating the end! More details are here.

You can download utility itself or its source code in Pascal. (195 kBy, resp. 6 kBy)

Insert Authorization - small toy - or utility - which combine two given URLs (can be pasted through clipboard) or extract username and password from them. When you paste two URLs with authorization, the first one is honored. Otherwise, it will find authorization for yourself.

When you left one source empty, only authorization will be extracted.

It can be used for those sites, which throw away authorization from Address bar. These pages usually use an authorization through cookies, but sometimes are heavily scripted - and framed - and demand also on passwords.

Pasting and copying through clipboard can rapid all process.

You can download utility itself or its source code in Pascal. (197 kBy, resp. 9 kBy)

Rename Images According Their Canvas Size
Please read also accompanied "readme.txt" for more detailed description or continue here.

This utility scan selected directory for BMP, GIF, JPEG and PNG files (no matter if extension match or not). If found, the canvas size is computed from pixel dimensions and unit. This value can be subtracted from maximum value and filled from left with zero. After join with some "identify string" it is inserted into beginning of file name. You can specify minimum dimensions and minimum file size as well as maximum proportions of sizes (because of banners) to determine which files will be ignored.

By this way, you will have the images sorted according their pixel size. Image with the biggest canvas is in front of list - in case you sort files according their names. When sorted by extension, you found there the biggest image of concrete file format, of course. When values are not subtracted, images are sorted in reverse order.

There is also a button, which will restore back original filenames, so next time can be cache reused.

At the time, I programmed this util, I have been often looking for concrete images at Temporary Internet Files directory after finishing the internet session. Sometimes I did not remember all file names, or even I did not know them. So I have had to browse through all subdirectories and scanned images with some images viewer in thumbnail mode sorted by file size. It is really boring, I think, because it is not easy and always possible to guess pixel size only by file size. A specially on grayscale only (8-bit) JPEGs as well as PNGs.

When I started to use Opera as browser, I found this program even more useful. Opera does not use an original filenames for cached files on local disk.

You can download utility itself or its source code in Pascal. (214 kBy, resp. 21 kBy)

Batch Process Generator
Please read also accompanied "readme.txt" for more detailed description or continue here.

This utility utomatize an creation of BAT file (DOS executable) for presently very popular special utils "for educational purposes". These utils usually does an excelent jobs, however work only with single file-stream. So you must run them for each file repeatly.

One of these util is MOV2AVI for conversion any Apple QuickTime to standard AVI. It uses a command line parameters, so you can specify both codecs automaticly.

Using this util, you just specify all the files which should be proceeded, where the result files should be placed and/or how to be renamed, and a few detals about application which will handle its job (name, parameters, etc.). Press Generate and this util will create a batch file.

This file - by default "batchjob.bat" - you just run, and you can go for walk. No need to sit in front of computers, or endlessly type almost the same commands.

You can download utility itself or its source code in Pascal. (251 kBy, resp. 19 kBy)

GEO Interactive Emblaze Video 2 Playlist Generator

This is really one-time toy. I described how to build custom player for Java videos at extra tutorial. If read it, you know that you must a special main site and individual pop-up site for each video file. This util generate them all: main index site with file names and their file-size, which is a playlist with correct URLs and JavaScript parameters to individual pop-up'ed sites. A sample directory list is included at "readme.txt".

I wrote, that this is one-time toy. It can be used also for other technologies, however you must recompile a source code. I am planning to extend this toy about a "template" feature - both for pop-up windows code as well as playlist reference. I am planning it for a long time ...

You can download utility itself or its source code in Pascal. (204 kBy, resp. 12 kBy). I recommend you to download rather full archive (517 kBy)..

Extract JPEG, GIF, RIFF: there are three console application (with source code in Pascal) in this archive (19 kBy) which extract all JPEGs, GIFs and RIFF-family (like DIB, MID, WAV, AVI) files from any binary file. Algorithm is far away from optimum and it take a lot of time and disk-operation to proceed. Next, it recognizes only one format kind. All of these toys are also a part of JPEGPush archive.

Web-masters only:

Icons and Banners for your link. Collection with prepared templates is on this page. Archive size is 200 kBy.

E-mail box's Hide - an utility, which converts characters at classic mail box entry randomly to their HTML code equivalent, so emb. address will be masked for spam robots.

Example from image on left:

Text on page is: You can contact at John.Doe@ABC.sk.
HTML source-code is:

You can <a href="mailto:John.Doe@ABC.sk">contact at John.Doe@ABC.sk</a>.

E-mail box's Hide convert this entry to following:
<a href ="%6Dail%74%6F:Joh%6E%2ED%6Fe%40%41B%43%2Esk">con&#116;&#97;ct at&#32;&#74;oh&#110;&#46;&#68;&#111;&#101;&#64;&#65;BC&#46;s&#107;</a>

This reference is perfectly readeable for browsers and it is displayed normally, but - unless the robot parse full page and rather it has not time to do it - it is unreacheable for spammer robots. It has amost the same strength as java-scripts-solution (using document.write) or image-based solution. But these are not so universal. Please read my research.

You can download application itself, or its source code in Pascal. (200 kBy, resp. 7 kBy)

Please note, that if you have any problem with displaying, (you see a word "mailto", e.g.), forbid to mask characters " and ':'.

You can find a Batch Process Generator tool useful also. I am using it e.g. during miscellanous conversions, optimalization of published graphic (PNG filters, removing unnecessary chunks and blocks, adding author information), or steganographics content watermarking. Short info is up on this page, more details are on its own page. You can download utility itself or its source code in Pascal. (251 kBy, resp. 19 kBy).

Web-designers only:

Resize Image / Element - Application which I use almost all the time when I work with HTML. It is not a rare situation that I need show some pictures in smaller size on page, but with possibility to open them at their full size. It can be done easilly through image tags - however, the values I have to calculate handly.
This utility calcute missed dimension based on original picture size and one new dimmension or proportion. Except of original size fields you can enter value anywhere and others will be recalculated when you click on some other field - the most convienent is click to this one which you want to copy. If Constrain Proportions is unchecked, only corespond dimession is recalculate, of course.
Some vector editors has no possibility to set DPI during conversion, or to use other DPI than pre-press equiment has set. You can by-pass this entering bigger image size and resample image later to desired DPI. This is the reason, why DPI's fields are there. When changing DPI resolution, both dimensions are recalculate always.

You can download utility itself or its source code in Pascal. (197 kBy, resp. 6 kBy)

Black&White Colours Converter - I write this, when I prepared the grayscale version of image-protection document for Example 5 gallery (handling the Print command). RGB color is converted to its grayscale form using equations CCIR Recomendation 709, ITU-R BT.709 (1990). The result is showed as classic inverse-K component (100% is pure white) of CMYK model, RGB three-bytes value and the nearest web-safe-grayscale color - also as RGB three-bytes value. Sorted hexadecimal list generated for all web-safe colours and their grayscale equivalent is included to source code.

Utility itself can be downloaded from here, its source code in Pascal is here. (195 kBy, resp. 8 kBy)
Sorted hexadecimal list for all web-safe-colors and their grayscale equivalents is here, also. (4 kBy)
Equation for colour deficiency (blindness) simulation (coefficients are fix to value of gamma = 2.2) can be downloaded as PDF page here (60 kBy).
Plug-ins for colour deficiences simulations for Adobe Photoshop 4 compiliant application, together with a few relevant goodies for automatization can be downloaded here (236 kBy).
